Surgery update: all went well! I'm sore and woozy tonight, but not too bad. Henry made me buttered macaroni for dinner, my family's comfort food of choice. Haven't seen the aftermath in the kitchen yet...
They sure were eager to get rid of me at the surgery center. A mere 2 1/2 hours after being wheeled into the operating room I was wheeled out to the curb. Very efficient. Cut and dried, so to speak.
An interesting side note is that after writing my post this morning, I've heard from five friends and counting who've also had their gallbladders out. Who knew? I'm honored to have now joined the secret society of the gall-less.
Thanks for the best wishes and warm thoughts. Now to catch up on some movies.
